Tom Sotis has been training in various fighting methods since 1969. In addition to empty hands, weapons, and firearms skills, he is now well recognized as the leading edged weapons instructor in the world recognized for contributions to international and US federal agencies, for his specialized expertise in the use of weapons. In addition to 50+ years of dedicated training, Tom gained practical street experience through decades of working in conflict-oriented professions.

For over 30 years, Tom has worked with numerous US government agencies, specialist military teams, and various levels of law enforcement agencies. Tom has traveled to 25 countries pioneering the evolution of edged weapons combat through extensive travel and research.
